1. Information We Collect

1.1 Personal Information

UnderPressure does not require you to create an account or provide personal information such as name, email address, or phone number to use the app. The app is designed to work locally on your device.

1.2 Health Data

When you use UnderPressure, the app collects and stores the following information locally on your device:

• Blood pressure readings (systolic, diastolic, and pulse)
• Reading timestamps, tags (morning, evening, after meds, custom), and notes
• Medication names, dosages, dose schedules, and tablet stock counts
• Checkup records (type, date last done, frequency settings)
• Doctor and specialist contact information you enter manually
• Notification and reminder preferences

1.3 Apple Health (HealthKit)

If you choose to enable Apple Health integration, UnderPressure will read and write blood pressure data to and from the Health app on your device. This includes:

• Writing new BP readings to HealthKit after each log
• Importing existing BP readings from HealthKit into the app

HealthKit data is handled on-device and is not transmitted to our servers. Your HealthKit data is subject to Apple's HealthKit privacy policy. We do not use HealthKit data for advertising or other data-mining purposes.

1.4 Notifications

With your permission, UnderPressure sends local notifications for BP check reminders, medication alerts, and upcoming checkup reminders. Notification data is processed entirely on your device and is not sent to our servers.

1.5 Emergency Contact Pre-Fill

The app pre-fills regional emergency numbers based on your device's region settings. No location data is collected or transmitted. You can edit or remove any pre-filled contacts at any time.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

• Provide core app functionality (BP logging, medication tracking, checkup scheduling)
• Display trends, history, and classification data within the app
• Sync BP readings with Apple Health (if enabled)
• Send local notifications and reminders (if enabled)
• Generate PDF and CSV exports for sharing with your doctor
• Improve app performance and user experience

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Local Storage

All your health data is stored locally on your device using secure iOS storage mechanisms. We do not upload your BP readings, medication data, doctor contacts, or any other personal health information to any remote servers or cloud services.

3.2 Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Your data is protected by iOS security features including device encryption and app sandboxing.

3.3 Backups

Your UnderPressure data may be included in your device's standard iOS backup (iCloud or iTunes). These backups are controlled by Apple's privacy policies and your device settings, not by our app.

4. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your personal health information with third parties. UnderPressure operates entirely on your device, and your health data remains private to you. We do not have access to your data unless you explicitly choose to contact our support team.

Export Exception: When you use the Export & Share feature, you choose to generate a PDF or CSV file and share it (e.g., with your doctor). This sharing is entirely under your control. We do not receive or store the exported data.

5. Third-Party Services

5.1 Apple HealthKit

If HealthKit integration is enabled, BP readings are exchanged with Apple's Health app. This data exchange is governed by Apple's HealthKit developer guidelines and Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not share HealthKit data with third parties and do not use it for advertising, data mining, or any purpose beyond providing App functionality.

5.2 Apple App Store

The app is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect anonymized diagnostic and usage data according to their privacy policy. We do not control or have access to this data.

5.3 Analytics (Optional)

We may use anonymized analytics to understand how users interact with the app and identify areas for improvement. This data is aggregated and does not identify individual users. You can opt out of analytics in the app settings.

6. Permissions

UnderPressure may request the following permissions:

• Notifications: To send BP check reminders, medication alerts, and checkup notifications (optional)
• Health (HealthKit): To read and write blood pressure data with Apple Health (optional)

You can control these permissions through your device settings at any time.

7. Children's Privacy

UnderPressure does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app does not require age verification. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information to us, please contact us.

8. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: All your data is accessible within the app
• Modification: You can edit or delete any BP reading, medication, or checkup record
• Deletion: You can delete all app data by uninstalling the app or using the "Delete All Data" option in settings
• Export: You can export your readings as PDF or CSV at any time

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app and on this page. Changes are effective when posted. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
